Broke down on the island of Bute at the ferry boarding lanes. After contacting my insurance, they sent this particular garage on their behalf, the two members that came out were very professional and were upfront and honest with how the situation was going and what options were available, originally the possibly of the car having to be held at he garage for one to two days but they managed to get the issue sorted so I could take the car off the island the same day. It was my first time on the island and the first time I have taken the car away from the mainland, if your ever having car issues while visiting bute I’d highly recommend this Garage

I broke a front brake caliper whilst touring Scotland. These exceptionally helpful people had the car collected on a trailer and repaired inside 3 hours after I asked them for assistance, working past their standard opening hours.

My daughter was recently on the isle of Bute for the weekend with a Motorhome, she was waiting for the ferry on Sunday and she called me to say the battery had went flat and she could not start the motorhome to go on the ferry , she called me and I suggested she should call Duncan’s garage in Rothsey, she did this and called me back 15 mins later to say that they had been and got it started for her , super fast efficient service. I can’t rate W&J Duncan high enough for this experience Thanks again Jimmy fantastic service

Helped me out with my tyre when I ran over a nail. The AA were a bit useless but these guys did the job quickly and were really nice & helpful - as was everyone we encountered on the island. Top service!
